THE YOG OF TIME TRAVEL

Time travel has remained one of the most intriguing subjects for physicists of all times. Scientists have spent their lives racking their brains on how to make it possible, yet as per modern sciences it remains a dream. On the other hand, the Vedic rishis had already decoded the mystery of time. Time, as per the Vedic rishis, is nothing but the distance between two thoughts. That is why in the state of dhyan, time does not exist as at that point thoughts cease to exist. The higher the state of evolution or stillness, slower is the passage of time for that being. It is said that in a blink of Lord Brahma’s eye a yuga passes by, and a blink of Lord Vishnu’s eye sees a mahayug pass by. Through yogic practices like Sanatan Kriya , one is able to still ones thoughts and hence become independent of time. The yogi can then travel in time — go forward or backward. Travelling in time, in fact, is widely used in yog for the purpose of evolution and for aiding the creation. Yogis visit past liv...

THE LAW OF KARMA by Yogi Ashwini

The manifested Creation is based on certain laws, which govern it since it’s beginning. These laws rule us whether we approve of them or not. One of the major laws which binds us in our journey on this plane is the ‘Law of Karma’. It is not a mere coincidence that nearly every major religion of the world talks about the Law of Karma. This could not be a coincidence that all the great men of different religions saw this rule of Creation and gave it as a law. This is an unfailing law and the foundation of any yogic practice. Karma can be simply translated as action. Action doesn’t necessarily stand for an act in the physical; it can be a thought also. In fact, every action in physical terms is a thought before manifestation. The Law of Karma states, “What you sow, so shall you reap”. Does everyone believe in the Law of Karma, that everything we do comes back to us in some form? We know, but somehow there is a doubt when we actually begin to do things. This is the basic problem with all o...

WHAT IS IT?

There is an outdoor shoot; the sky is dark and cloudy. A shoot seems unlikely; your job is at stake. Suddenly the sun breaks in. LUCK. There is a flight to catch; there is no way you can make it in time. You reach the airport only to find that the flight got delayed because a minister chose to fly on the same plane and got late. COINCIDENCE. Doctors have given up hope. There is no way you can be recovered medically. Your near and dear ones are praying and their prayers get answered. MIRACLE. Life is beautiful. Too good to be true? Exactly. We have instilled in us this strange notion that ‘good’ cannot be true. What is even stranger is that we are actually comfortable with this thought. Human behavior surprises me. When things are not working out, we crib but find ‘solace’ in saying ‘that is life’. And as soon as something good happens, instant reaction is to justify by calling it luck or co-incidence or miracle… Think about it. There are just two ways in which things may turn –...

"One good deed a day keeps sadness away "

Heard of a saying "An apple a day keeps doctor away”? Well on similar lines some great scholar said “One good deed a day keeps sadness away "... For next 7 days let’s try this in our lives and share our experiences on this blog every day telling all what good deed was done that day... Holi play of energies, positive and negative by Yogi Ashwini

Energy can neither be created nor destroyed. Entire creation is nothing but manifestation of energy, and this has been revealed by yogis thousands of years ago. Every object of creation, all lokas or dimensions of existence and yugas or dimensions of time, they say, exist as energy forms. The earth’s movement changes the dimension of time. When the earth moves on its tilted axis, yugas change, as do seasons when it revolves around the sun. Every movement from one dimension to the other brings about transformation as every day comes with its unique energy patterns. The concept of sandhya is helpful to understand energy changes that occur daily, when powerful transformations take place. There are two forces in creation, positive and negative; both these energies keep the other in balance. Vedanta describes four types of sandhyas that occur on any given day. The first, the Brahma sandhya, occurs an hour before and after sunrise. This is a time when positive forces are at their peak. This ...

RARE CONNECTIONS by Arti Gaur

In the previous issue we discussed the matching of the Anahat charka which is the seat of selfless love and very rare these days. Though, it’s a rarity to find connections based on the basis of love today, even rarer are the connections established on the basis of creativity i.e. at the level of vishudhi chakra. This is the higher form of creativity, where people unite together when they have risen over their own selfish needs and now can think beyond themselves. Vedic philosophy is so huge and vast that it covers every aspect of nature, all levels of Creation. Based on the nature of the beings of various dimensions, marriages are categorised in five kinds. ‘Manav Vivah’ or the kinds of marriages we see today are the ones, which require a ceremony and are intended to last a lifetime. The concept of love marriage is not a modern concept; it used to happen earlier also and was called the ‘Gandharva Vivah’. Implying that if two people wish to get married without a ceremony, it is possible...

LAWS OF ATTRACTION

The entire Creation is based on the principles of magnetism and attraction. We take birth to experience the myriad atractions or desires. In fact, evolution is nothing but experiencing a desire and moving beyond.      It is these desires or attractions that cause us to interact with the environment and our fellow beings and to develop relationships. The most basic level of interaction is based upon the desire for physical and worldly pleasures. The next thing that ties us to another being is sexual desire. Slightly higher is a connection based on the desire for power. Thus we enter an alliance in the expectation that a desire will be fulfilled, for something in return.      Love too is an attraction, it is however unconditional. Pure love is selfless; it demands nothing in return. Love is the characteristic property of the colour pink, its occurrence being as rare as the occurrence of pink in nature. Just  look around, where does pink exist in nature? If you observe the sun at dawn or...
